These Open Loop Systems are Tropical and can only be used in areas WITHOUT any freezing conditions.

If you look at your city's lowest average temperature, go 20 degrees lower. If it is below 30 degrees, you are in what is called a "Cusp" area, and are in need of a hard freeze system unless you are willing to drain your collectors clear of water if a freeze is expected.
