| Now you
see how the Skyline really makes $ense by paying for itself quickly!
The Skyline is a high quality system that will be providing your
family with hot water for decades.
Over 50% of Families Prefer Solar! California's Association of Realtors found that over 50% of families would be willing to pay more for a home with solar energy on it and that 60% would be more interested in buying a home with solar on it than one without. The research was done for the CA CEC in March 2002. |

California's energy consumption could be reduced by over 2% by supplementing enough Gas, Propane and Electric water heaters with solar water heaters. This move would do enormous good for California's economy, significantly reduce pollution and free up large amounts of natural gas during peak times to produce electricity. This principle could apply to most other states as well. |

*Examples of savings from installing a Skyline Solar Hot Water Heating System: A Do-It-Yourselfer with a family of four installs a two panel (40 ft2) Open Loop system costing $2,500.00 by him/herself. They can expect to see an immediate saving off their electric bill (at 10¢ per kWh) of about $320.00/year. That’s a 12.8% return on investment (ROI). But, the 30% Federal Tax Credit ($750.00) will bring the actual cost of the system to $1,750.00. The return on that investment with the Fereral Tax Credit is 18.25%. Since most families are in the 30% income tax bracket, you would have had to earn pre-Income Tax $457.00 to pay that electric bill. Now, your rate of return on what you would have actually had to earn to pay for that electricity is 26%! Suppose you paid $500.00 for a helper and some supplies. The cost would be $3,000.00 ($900.00 Income Tax Credit) that would bring the above returns (respectively) to 9.375%; 15.25% and 21.75%. Suppose your electricity cost 15¢ per kWh (as it does in parts of Florida). Your savings would be $480.00/year, $686/year Pretax. Do it yourself for $2,500 for a 3.8 year, 26.3% ROI, You have a Handyman do it for a 4.37 year, 22.9% ROI! Professionally Dealer Installed Deluxe Closed Loop closed loop system installed for $6,667 with a $2,000 Tax Credit will provide a great 6.8 year ROI! That only scratches the surface of your real savings and return on investment (we haven't even touched increased property value). Just ask, and I’ll send you an active Excel Spreadsheet that will take into account the added value to your home equity and energy cost inflation. It will compare it with investing that money in a bank with compounding interest. In 10 years your bank investment (say $2,500.00) would be worth about $3,500.00, while your solar hot water investment would be worth about $9,500.00. In 20 years those figures would be $5,000.00 and $19,000.00.

A Skyline System is an Excellent Complement to PV(Solar Electric)2,000 + Watts of Power!(= to 10+ kilowatts per day) With all the talk about Photovoltaic (PV)
electric power, it is good to view thermal heat power in terms of electric power. An Equivalent amount of PV Power could cost over$23,000.00!* Or over 4 Times the Cost of Solar Water Heating!A 2 collector Skyline 20-01 solar water heater (40 s/f) produces thermal energy in an amount equal to the energy of a 2 kW** Photovoltaic (PV) system. Solar water heating is the perfect complement to a Photovoltaic system because it doubles the energy output of an average 2kW system at a fraction of the cost. *Solectrogen UT2000SB system at $19,643 = installation at $2.00 / watt = $23,643.00 before rebates and credits. **40,000 BTUs / 3,412 (BTUs in a kWh) = 11.72 kWh / 5 hr = 2.344 kW |
